Capturing Feedback and PROMs Through Video

One impactful benefit of this clinician-led video, has been to use them to support the collection of patient-reported outcome measures. My teams send video links to patients after an appointment - by SMS, WhatsApp or email. Patients watch a short explanation of what we're asking and why - and then, within the video - they're presented with a link that takes them directly to my PROMS capture system, where they can complete the survey. The results have been positive, with survey completion rates exceeding 90 percent - up from around 30 percent, using a text only approach. This level of engagement has allowed earlier intervention and better outcomes - while also generating valuable data for clinical practice and research. Additional interactive features in the video suite also allows me to add other relevant links - for example to supporting resources; my appointment booking system; or recommending the next video for the patient to watch.
