Supporting the Patient Journey and Saving Time
Transcript
These information suites are structured to support patients throughout their care pathway. Patients navigate to the stage of the journey most relevant to them, and see the content I recommend. For example, before a consultation - patients can watch videos that prepare them for what to expect. Or afterwards, they have something to return to - reinforcing what was discussed. These videos also reduce the time I spend repeating standard explanations. And, when clinical guidance evolves - or patient feedback suggests something could be clearer - content can be updated quickly, without re-filming. When viewing each video, patients are able to open the whole transcript. They also have options to share the videos via email or WhatsApp - this helps to bring friends and family into the conversation and can be a great help in decision making. A key feature of these information suites is that viewers can also watch it in their native language. Using the dropdown, the whole suite is translated. For the videos the AI technology, enables them to be fully lip-synced, and matched to the clinician's tone of voice - creating a far more engaging experience than using autogenerated subtitles. Sharing the videos is also straightforward. My practice team can send a link via email or WhatsApp. We also use these links in our booking system, so patients receive relevant videos automatically. Embed codes are also provided, enabling us to add selected videos to our website. The downloadable QR codes are also useful for sharing the videos during a consultation. Overall, I find these videos to be a highly efficient way of supporting patients with consistent, trusted information - wherever they are in their journey.
